Hornby Class 08

The sound decoder in my Class 08 has now been changed from ESU to Zimo with Digitrains sound files. These sounds in my opinion are way better than Howes sounds.

The decoder fitted is a Zimo MX 645, this is hard wired into the loco and a QSI oval speaker is fitted behind the front grille. Fittment of both of these items is pretty straightforward.

The loco driver is a 'Springside' item, they come in a pack of three and are ready painted.

It's a shame sometimes to see some excellent weathered and detailed locos only for them to be let down by the absence of a driver. Usually a driver can be shoehorned into the smallest of loco cabs, the Class 08 cab being no exception!
